Knoverse ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Knowear mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account or sign in with Google, we collect:

• Name and email address from your Google account
• Profile photo (if available from your Google account)
• Account preferences and settings

1.2 Wardrobe Data

When you use the App, you may provide:

• Photos of clothing items you upload from your device camera or photo library
• Clothing details such as category, color, brand, size, material, and condition
• Outfit combinations you create
• Usage data such as times worn and purchase information you choose to enter

1.3 Calendar Data

If you grant permission, we access your Google Calendar data to:

• Display upcoming events within the App
• Help you plan outfits for specific events
• Provide context-aware outfit suggestions

We access calendar data in read-only mode. We do not modify, delete, or create events in your Google Calendar. Calendar data is not shared with third parties.

1.4 Location Data

With your permission, we may collect approximate location data to provide weather-based outfit suggestions. Location data is processed on-device and is not stored on our servers.

1.5 Device Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Push notification tokens (if notifications are enabled)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Display your wardrobe items and outfit combinations
• Provide outfit recommendations based on your events and preferences
• Send push notifications you have opted into (e.g., outfit reminders)
• Respond to your support requests

3. AI-Powered Features

Our App uses AI services to provide outfit recommendations. When using these features:

• Wardrobe metadata (categories, colors, occasions — not photos) may be sent to AI services for processing
• AI processing is done through secure server-side functions
• We do not use your data to train AI models

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with:

• Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL)
• Row-level security policies ensuring you can only access your own data
• Regular security audits

Some preferences are stored locally on your device using secure storage.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only in these circumstances:

• Service providers: We use third-party services (Supabase for data storage, Google for authentication) that process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements
• Legal requirements: If required by law, regulation, or legal process
• Safety: To protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or the public

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the App
• Delete your account and associated data by contacting us at support@knoverse.io
• Revoke Google Calendar access at any time through your Google Account settings
• Disable location access through your device settings
• Opt out of push notifications through your device settings

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy in the App or sending a notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
